Long-Term Substitute - 6th Grade Teacher

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Professional Educator License registered with ROE 53 - Elementary Education Endorsement
- Ability to successfully complete a preemployment functional physical, fingerprint based background check, and Employment History Review
- Supervisory experience preferred
JOB GOAL: The Long-Term Substitute Sixth-Grade Teacher will maintain educational continuity during an extended teacher absence.
JOB DUTIES:
- Develops and/or implements engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with state standards.
- Establishes a safe, organized, and positive learning environment using age-appropriate behavior management strategies.
- Monitors and evaluates student progress through formal and informal assessments.
- Differentiates instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintains consistent communication with families regarding academic and behavioral progress.
- Collaborates with grade-level teams and support staff to ensure a cohesive student experience.
- Maintains accurate attendance and performance records.
- Participates in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
