Parkview School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Long-Term High School Mathematics Substitute Teacher to join our team this fall.
This position offers an opportunity to work with high school students in a supportive and collaborative environment while maintaining meaningful learning during a teacher leave. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping students develop confidence in mathematics and creates an engaging classroom where all students can succeed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality mathematics instruction using district curriculum and lesson plans.
- Create a positive, engaging, and respectful classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
- Maintain effective classroom management and high expectations for learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of instruction.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and administrators.
- Maintain accurate attendance and grade records.
- Perform other professional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Holds or is eligible to obtain a Wisconsin Long-Term Substitute License.
- Bachelor''s degree from an accredited institution.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Preferred
- Wisconsin DPI Mathematics teaching license.
- Previous experience teaching high school mathematics.
- Experience using instructional technology and student information systems.
