Long-term Substitute Teacher

The Substitute teacher temporarily takes over classroom instruction and management in the absence of the regular teacher. They maintain an inclusive classroom atmosphere and support students educational progress across various grade levels and subjects. Substitute teachers may be contacted for same-day short-term or long-term assignments depending on school needs. This is a part-time position and Substitutes are utilized on an as-needed basis.Responsibilities include but are not limited toDeliver instruction according to lesson plans left by the classroom teacher.Manage classroom behavior in alignment with school policies and expectations.Supervise students in the classroom hallways cafeteria playground and other assigned areas.Maintain a respectful and inclusive environment for all learners.Adapt to different grade levels subject areas and instructional needs as assigned.Record attendance and report any incidents concerns or issues to school administration.Communicate effectively with students staff and administrators.Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.Other duties as assigned.Required SkillsStrong communication organization and classroom management skills.Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and student needs.Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentPass applicable background checkPreferred QualificationsBachelors degreeActive or expired educators licensePrevious classroom or childcare experienceIf you have any questions about the position please send an email to jobsalaschools.org
