    Overview

    The

    Charter

    School

    of

    Wilmington

    is

    seeking

    a

    Long-Term

    Substitute

    Science

    Teacher

    to

    teach

    AP

    Biology,

    Anatomy

    &

    Physiology,

    and

    Biology.

    The

    assignment

    will

    begin

    on

    November

    6,

    2026

    and

    will

    continue

    for

    a

    minimum

    of

    four

    weeks,

    with

    the

    potential

    to

    extend

    up

    to

    twelve

    weeks.

    The

    duration

    of

    the

    assignment

    is

    tentative

    and

    may

    be

    adjusted

    based

    on

    the

    employee's

    leave

    requirements

    and

    the

    school's

    staffing

    needs.

    As

    the

    Long-Term

    Substitute

    Science

    Teacher,

    you

    will

    deliver

    high-quality

    instruction

    by

    implementing

    a

    rigorous

    college-preparatory

    curriculum.

    learning,

    Bachelor's

    Degree

    in

    secondary

    education

    science

    Master's

    Degree

    Requirements

    Hold

    or

    be

    eligible

    for

    Secondary

    Science

    Teacher

    certification

    or

    Long-Term

    Substitute

    Permit .

    Salary

    Salary

    will

    be

    computed

    in

    accordance

    with

    the

    credentials

    of

    the

    individual

    selected.

    Direct

    deposit

    of

    payroll

    checks

    is

    mandatory

    for

    state

    employment,

    and

    employees

    are

    paid

    on

    a

    lag

    pay

    schedule

    with

    the

    first

    payment

    made

    after

    approximately

    one

    month

    of

    employment.
