Long-Term Temporary Nanny – Noble Square
A warm and welcoming family in Noble Square is seeking a dependable, attentive, and nurturing nanny for a long-term, temporary position caring for their newborn. The position will begin in mid-September and continue through mid-January. The ideal candidate will have experience with newborns, be comfortable working alongside a parent who works from home, and enjoy creating a calm, supportive environment for both the child and the family. The family is looking for someone who is reliable, follows established routines, communicates well, and can provide attentive infant care during the baby's first months.
Position Details
Start Date: Mid-September
End Date: Mid-January
Location: Noble Square, Chicago
Compensation: $30/hour
Guaranteed Hours: 20–24 hours per week
Parking available for nanny
No driving required
Schedule
Monday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
One additional weekday shift (approximately 4–8 hours)
Day and time are flexible
Afternoon/evening availability preferred but not required
The family would also appreciate occasional availability for evening and weekend hours as needed.
Responsibilities
Providing attentive and loving care for a newborn infant
Following feeding, sleeping, and daily routines
Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment
Washing bottles and tidying infant-related items
Communicating regularly with parents regarding the baby's day
Supporting the family's established schedule and preferences
Ideal Candidate
Experienced with newborns and infant development
Dependable, punctual, and reliable
Friendly, calm, and attentive
Comfortable working in a home with a parent working remotely
Comfortable around a small dog
Able to follow routines while adapting to the changing needs of an infant
Strong communicator with a professional and positive attitude
