Job Description
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience in business intelligence architecture and Looker platform development.
- Proficiency in LookML data modeling, custom explores, dimensions, measures, and derived tables.
- Experience with migrating complex legacy SQL Server reporting systems into Looker environments.
- Experience in advanced SQL scripting, complex data joins, aggregations, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Google Cloud SQL databases and cloud-native data warehouse architectures.
- Experience in delivering technical training, user enablement workshops, and LookML best-practice documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Migrate existing legacy SQL queries, reports, and business logic into optimized Looker dashboards.
- Architect and deploy robust LookML models, explores, dimensions, and measures across datasets.
- Connect and configure Looker reporting models with underlying Google Cloud SQL database instances.
- Audit existing reporting structures to optimize query performance, scalability, and dashboard visualization.
- Validate migrated reporting outputs against legacy datasets to ensure strict data consistency and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot complex SQL syntax errors, LookML calculation discrepancies, and data modeling bottlenecks.
- Conduct hands-on Looker training sessions and develop technical documentation for internal engineering teams.
