Loss Prevention & Security Agent Position Summary:
The Loss Prevention & Security Agent position is a full time, on-site position responsible for ensuring the protection of assets, property and personnel through prevention, monitoring and apprehension. This position reports to the Loss Prevention Supervisor.
Loss Prevention & Security Agent Salary & Benefits
$19.50 per hour. Increases available upon attaining required certifications and being released for arrests. Loss Prevention & Security Agent Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor customer behavior on the digital Closed Circuit television system and on the sales floor
- Approach and interview suspected shoplifters in accordance with store policy and applicable law
- Write reports and occasionally testify in court.
- Participate in safety inspections and ensure safety protocols are being followed
- First responder for situations requiring First Aid and CPR.
- Transfer of necessary items between satellite store locations, including mail services
- Commitment to promoting the standards and principals of the Duck Store's customer service program.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Loss Prevention & Security Agent Experience and Skills Required
- Detail-oriented and organized approach to work.
- Proactive self-starter
- Exercise good customer service, public, and police relations in a diverse atmosphere
- Capable of making good decisions under stressful situations.
- Ability to work effectively and pleasantly with customers and co-workers
- Must have skills to communicate effectively in person on the telephone and in writing.
- Employer provided DPSST certification will be required after hire.
- Successful completion of first-aid/CPR training required within 30 days of hire date
- Must be minimum 18 years old at time of hire with no felony convictions for certification purposes. Criminal background check will be conducted
- Valid Driver’s license with insurable driving record required.
- Excellent record of attendance, reliability and initiative in previous employment.
Loss Prevention & Security Agent Hours
Monday – Friday during campus store hours and weekends as scheduled. Extended/varied hours are required during events. Home football game day availability required. The schedule may change as departmental and seasonal needs require. ID.
Compensation details: 19.5-19.5 Hourly Wage
