About This Job
As a Lot Attendant, you play a vital role in ensuring our vehicle inventory is always ready and accessible for our customers and team. You keep our operations running smoothly by managing vehicle flow, maintaining an organized lot, and ensuring every vehicle meets our presentation standards. Your work directly contributes to a positive customer experience and supports the efficiency of our sales and service departments. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Relocates vehicles safely and efficiently across the lot, ensuring optimal placement for sales, service, and customer access.
Organizes and maintains the vehicle display lot, ensuring a clean, orderly, and visually appealing environment for customers.
Operates vehicles responsibly and safely, adhering to all company policies and traffic regulations.
Parks vehicles precisely and strategically, maximizing space and accessibility while preventing damage.
Performs basic visual inspections of vehicles for damage, low fuel, or other issues, reporting findings promptly to the appropriate department.
Provides courteous customer service by assisting customers and team members with vehicle inquiries, directions, or minor requests.
Cleans and details vehicle exteriors and interiors as needed, preparing them for customer viewing, test drives, or delivery.
Manages basic inventory tracking by accurately recording vehicle movements and updating location information.
Communicates effectively with sales, service, and management teams to coordinate vehicle status and movement.
Required Qualifications
Education
Possesses a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Demonstrates a minimum of one year of experience in a role requiring vehicle operation or lot management.
Knowledge/Skills
Holds a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Exhibits strong safe driving practices and vehicle handling abilities.
Applies excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly and efficient vehicle lot.
Possesses basic vehicle inspection capabilities to identify and report issues.
Shows proficiency in basic inventory management principles for tracking vehicle locations.
Demonstrates effective communication skills for interacting with colleagues and customers.
Commits to providing exceptional customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in an automotive dealership or rental car environment.
Familiarity with various vehicle makes and models.
Physical Requirements/Work Conditions
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds for extended periods.
Works outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Requires frequent entry and exit from vehicles.
Possesses adequate visual acuity and hearing to operate vehicles safely and communicate effectively.
