    Position Summary

    The LOTO Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program to ensure the safe control of hazardous energy during construction, commissioning, maintenance, and operational activities. This role plays a critical function in protecting personnel, equipment, and facility operations-particularly in complex environments such as data centers, mission critical facilities, and advanced manufacturing plants.

    The LOTO Coordinator ensures compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and client-specific energy control procedures. This is a safety sensitive position.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain the site-specific Lockout/Tagout program.
    • Create and review energy control procedures (ECPs) for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
    • Ensure all hazardous energy sources are properly identified, documented, and controlled.
    • Coordinate and supervise LOTO activities for construction, commissioning, maintenance, and start-up operations.
    • Verify proper application and removal of locks and tags.
    • Maintain real-time LOTO logs and system status boards.
    • Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance with established procedures.
    • Train and certify authorized and affected employees in LOTO procedures.
    • Conduct refresher training and toolbox talks as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 and applicable client safety standards.
    • Support internal and external safety audits.
    • Serve as the central point of contact for all LOTO-related activities onsite.
    • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, commissioning teams, subcontractors, and facility operators.
    • Facilitate daily coordination meetings to review active LOTO scopes and impacts.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of all lockouts, tags, and system isolations.
    • Prepare reports for leadership regarding LOTO compliance and safety performance.
    • Assist in incident investigations involving hazardous energy control.
    • Performs other duties as needed to support projects, operations, and the department.
