Position Description

As an Access and Security Systems Technician, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Pull, support, terminate, and test low voltage cables.
  • Install and troubleshoot surveillance and access devices and equipment.
  • Repair and maintain doors and locks.
  • Climb ladders and work from elevated positions on aerial lifts.
  • Use hand tools and power tools such as power drills and hammer drills.
  • Repair, install, and service facilities, properties, and equipment.
  • Report maintenance requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Drive company vehicles such as pick up trucks, small vans, and passenger vehicles.

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • More than two years of experience.
  • DMV check is required.

  • Must have a valid CA Drivers License.

  • Adept at reading design plans.
  • Comfortable working in new construction sites or on remodeling projects.
  • Familiar with job-site safety rules and equipment.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Perform manual labor, extensive walking, standing, kneeling, carrying, and climbing ladders.
  • Willing to work overtime and on weekends.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Team player.
  • Read, write, and speak English.
  • Experience with power tools.
  • Basic construction knowledge.

 

Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Knowledge of Access, Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), and Security Systems.
