TradeWorX is hiring an experienced Low Voltage Electrician / Structured Cabling Technician for a high-priority retail project in the Gaithersburg, MD area. This is a short-term night-shift assignment focused on Cat 6 cable installation, cable pulls, terminations, and register relocation support. Candidates should have hands-on structured cabling experience, be comfortable working from lifts, and be able to complete work efficiently in an active retail environment.
Pay & Schedule:
$23.00–$27.00 per hour, based on experience
Night shift starting at 9: 00 PM
Project dates: August 30, 2026 through September 2, 2026

Job Duties:
Pull, route, and install Cat 6 data cabling in a commercial retail environment
Perform Cat 6 cable terminations at jacks, devices, and related connection points
Support structured cabling work associated with register and point-of-sale relocation
Trace, organize, dress, and secure low-voltage cabling as required
Safely operate and work from lifts while completing overhead cable installation
Follow low-voltage installation standards, site safety procedures, and project direction
Requirements:
Prior low-voltage, voice/data, or structured cabling experience required
Hands-on Cat 6 cable pulling and termination experience required
Prior pinning experience required
Ability to identify and use common low-voltage tools and termination equipment
Previous lift experience preferred
Ability to work independently and maintain quality in a fast-paced retail environment
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced Low Voltage Technician, Data Cable Technician, or Structured Cabling Technician
Confident pulling, routing, dressing, and terminating Cat 6 cable
Familiar with commercial retail, point-of-sale, or similar voice/data installations
Reliable and committed to the full night-shift project schedule
