Low Voltage Estimating Assistant – Round Rock/Pflugerville
 
Round Rock/Pflugerville area low voltage contractor seeking an Estimator to assist estimating department and workflow procedures. Ideal candidate must be diligent, meticulous, have excellent attendance, and work overtime as needed. Ideal candidate must have excellent organizational and analytical skills. Ideal candidate must be able to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and follow specific instruction.
 
 Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
  • Prepare plans and documentation for use in field by low voltage technicians
  • Work with homebuilders and other trades to gather relevant information to complete the job preparation process
  • Reconcile purchase orders from homebuilders
  • Complete billing documentation per job incorporating options and additions to ensure accurate invoicing to customer
  • Assist with low voltage bids and take-offs using templates and tools provided
  • Assist in bid maintenance as directed by Estimating Manager
  • Assist Estimating Manager with estimating related projects
 
 
 Prerequisites and Qualifications:
  • Residential low voltage experience helpful but not required
  • Willingness to learn the low voltage trade code using tools, resources and training provided by company
  • Ability to communicate effectively with homebuilders
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Outlook
  • Excellent math skills
 
 
This position is hourly plus benefits including health insurance with employer contribution and a 401k plan with an employer matching contribution.
