LV OEM Mechanical Engineer (SWB / Switch Racks)Must-Have Requirements
- 3–7+ years LV OEM / switchgear / power distribution experience
- Hands-on experience with:
- Switchboards (SWB)
- Switch racks / rack-mounted systems
- Mechanical design experience (layouts, enclosures, structural supports)
- CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
- BOM creation + engineering documentation
- Knowledge of UL / NEC standards
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Mechanical layout/design of SWB and switch rack systems
- Create drawings (GA + fabrication) and BOMs
- Coordinate with electrical engineering on component placement
- Support manufacturing / shop floor (fit-up, tolerances, build issues)
- Drive DFM and cost improvements
- Handle custom / ETO configurations
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- ETO (engineered-to-order) environment experience
- Thermal / heat dissipation knowledge
- Sheet metal / enclosure design background
- Experience with Client, Siemens, Schneider, ABB platforms
- Electrical logic – review/redline - build
