Title: Switchgear Assembler - LV
Location: East Dallas, TX (West of Mesquite)
Contract-to-Hire
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Compensation: $21/hr
Overview:
We are seeking motivated and hands-on Low Voltage Switchgear Assemblers to join a growing manufacturing team supporting power distribution and protection systems. This role is responsible for assembling switchgear cabinets and electrical components in a fast-paced production environment using hand tools, power tools, and wiring techniques. Candidates should be comfortable working in a large manufacturing facility, performing mechanical assembly tasks, and supporting production ramp-up efforts. Job Duties:
- Assemble switchgear cabinets and enclosure components according to specifications and work instructions
- Use hand and power tools, including drills, impacts, torque wrenches, grinders, and screwdrivers
- Perform basic wiring and electrical assembly tasks
- Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Conduct quality inspections and identify defects or issues
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Support production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Follow all PPE and safety requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 0–2 years of assembly, manufacturing, or electrical assembly experience
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort with wiring tasks
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- Must be able to start immediately
