    Position Overview
This is an entry-level opportunity to launch a career as a Low-Voltage Technician / Nurse Call System Installer, with a primary focus on Jeron Electronic Systems. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, you'll learn the end-to-end installation, setup, validation, and maintenance of vital communication infrastructure within healthcare settings, including hospitals and assisted living facilities throughout the area. No prior nurse call experience is required — we'll train the right candidate.

    What You'll Learn & Do

    • Deployment & Upgrades: Assist with wiring, mounting, and terminating legacy and Provider series Jeron systems in active medical facilities and new construction sites.
    • Component Installation: Help set up master stations, call points, pillow speakers, and corridor lighting according to blueprints and riser diagrams.
    • Cabling Fundamentals: Learn proper labeling and termination for fiber optic, plenum-rated, and CAT5/6 cabling.
    • Integration & Programming: Gain exposure to system software setup for zone and staff assignments, and how these systems integrate with EMR, telephony, and RTLS platforms.
    • Testing & Instruction: Support system troubleshooting before handover and observe basic operational training for facility personnel.

    Your Professional Profile
    Core Requirements:

    • Eagerness to Learn: No prior experience with Jeron or nurse call systems required — a strong work ethic and willingness to be trained matter most.
    • Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of low-voltage wiring concepts, or a strong interest in developing this skill set; ability to learn to read electrical floor plans and schematics.
    • Compliance & Access: Ability to satisfy strict healthcare facility requirements, including a successful background check and drug screening.
    • Physical Mobility: Capable of navigating crawl spaces or ceilings, working from ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
    • Reliable Logistics: Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for essential job site travel.

Desired Qualifications (Valued Extras — not required):

    • Any prior exposure to low-voltage, electrical, or IT cabling work (school, internship, or hands-on experience).
    • Familiarity with platforms such as Cornell, Ascom, Rauland, or similar systems.
    • Interest in pursuing NICET certification in Electronic Safety & Security or Fire Alarm.
    • OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain).

    Work Environment & Logistics

    • Professional Atmosphere: Assignments take place in active healthcare settings where high standards of conduct and respect are mandatory.
    • Availability: Standard Monday through Friday operations.
    • Travel: Frequent travel within the continental US.
