Vivant is looking for an experienced Low Voltage Field Service Technician to join our growing team.
Our technicians install and support the technology infrastructure that keeps businesses running — including network systems, Wi-Fi, security cameras, VoIP phone systems, and other low-voltage solutions.
You will support mission-critical technology environments for restaurants, retail locations, healthcare facilities, and multi-location businesses where reliability and uptime matter.

$1,500 Performance Bonus Opportunity
Earn a $1,500 bonus after your first 90 days by successfully meeting performance expectations, including:
- Meeting required performance KPIs
- Maintaining excellent attendance and reliability expectations, including no unapproved absences during the first 90 days
- Completing projects accurately and on schedule
- Following installation standards, SOPs, and project requirements
- Demonstrating strong communication and customer service
What You’ll Do
As a Low Voltage Field Service Technician, you will:
- Install and troubleshoot commercial low-voltage systems
- Build and organize MDF/IDF network racks
- Perform rack-and-stack deployments, including:
- Routers
- Switches
- Patch panels
- Network equipment
- Pull, terminate, test, and label:
- CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
- Coaxial cabling
- Fiber optic cabling
- Install and troubleshoot:
- Wireless Access Points (WAPs)
- Security cameras
- VoIP phone systems
- POS systems
- TVs and digital menu boards
- Audio systems
- Access control systems
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues at customer locations
- Configure and troubleshoot basic networking equipment
- Complete projects according to the Statement of Work (SOW)
- Provide accurate documentation, photos, and project updates
- Follow company installation standards and procedures

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial low-voltage field technician experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently at customer locations with minimal supervision
- Experience installing and troubleshooting:
- Network racks and structured cabling
- Routers and switches
- Wireless networks
- VoIP phone systems
- Security cameras
Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of:
- LAN/WAN networking
- Static and dynamic IP addressing
- Basic network troubleshooting
- Windows operating systems
- Router and switch configuration
- Network terminology and equipment
Experience with:
- MPOE and DMARC environments
- Extending circuits from DMARC/MPOE to network racks
- 66-block and 110-block terminations
- Phone wiring
Must be able to troubleshoot using basic networking tools, including:
- Ping
- Traceroute
- Command Prompt utilities
Tools & Equipment
Technicians must have:
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Cell phone

- Standard low-voltage tools, including:
- Drill
- Cable toner

Schedule & Travel
- Monday–Friday, typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Some projects require extended hours or weekend work

- Approximately 25% travel outside the local market
