Lowboy Equipment Transport Specialist (CDL-A)
Picture your day starting just before sunrise. By 6:00 AM, you’ve completed a meticulous pre-trip, checked your chains and binders, and you’re easing a lowboy out of the yard with today’s first load headed for a local job site. No long-haul runs—home every evening.
What You’ll Do (A Day in the Life)
- Operate CDL-A combination vehicles and equipment trailers to move construction machinery locally.
- Load and unload graders, loaders, dump trucks, plows, hot shots, and other site equipment with care and precision.
- Secure every load using chains, binders, straps, and proper tie-down techniques.
- Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep transportation logs accurate and up to date.
- Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies without compromise.
- Coordinate with dispatch and field crews to keep deliveries on schedule.
- Pitch in with equipment loading and site support as needed.
About the Work and Schedule
- Local routes only — NO OTR, home each night
- Shift: Monday–Friday, Day Shift, typically 6:00 AM start
- Pay: $28/hour to start
