Title: Assistant Coach of Athletics

Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Reports To: Head Coach of Athletics

Job Summary: The Assistant Coach of Athletics supports the Head Coach in all aspects of the athletic program, including training, mentoring, and developing student-athletes. This role requires a dedicated individual with a passion for sports, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for athletic teams.
• Support the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, games, and other team activities.
• Provide coaching and feedback to student-athletes to enhance their skills and performance.
• Provide support and guidance to student-athletes in their academic success and achievements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, procedures and trainings as governed by Idaho High School Activities Association and the West Ada School District.
• Maintain equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes sportsmanship and teamwork.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, travel arrangements, and record-keeping.
• Act as a role model and mentor for student-athletes.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years (preferred) of relevant coaching experience, with a proven track record of success.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of student-athletes, coaches, and administrators.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, FERPA, NFHS, IHSAA, and WASD policies and regulations
• CPR and First Aid certification
