Enjoy working from one of our stores located in Whiterock, Texas! This position requires travelling to other Shoe Carnival locations approximately 30%-40% of the time.

The Loss Prevention Investigator is responsible for the loss prevention functions in addition to providing loss prevention training and leadership for their Loss Prevention Division.

  • Assists the Head of Loss Prevention with monitoring and communicating weekly exception reports for potential policy violations and fraud.
  • Investigates internal theft cases, conducts interviews with witness(es) and suspect, and generates supporting documentation for Human Resources.
  • Works with outside agencies, such as law enforcement and social media, for the investigation, recovery of merchandise/cash, and resolution of shoplifting incidents.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with local law enforcement, Organized Retail Crime (ORC) prevention teams, and other retailers.
  • Ensures stores are compliant with safety procedures and reviews all customer/employee accident reports for accuracy.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required; Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
  • 5+ years experience supervising multi-unit loss prevention functions.
  • Criminal justice education or experience preferred.
  • Experience with utilizing loss prevention tools (Wicklander) preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with professionals at all levels.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with an aptitude for critical thinking.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel and work necessary hours to complete projects/tasks.
  • Ability to successfully complete an annual motor vehicle record check and acknowledge Shoe Carnival's Driver Safety policy.
