LP Reporting Analysts support investor relations, finance, and investment teams by preparing accurate, timely, and detailed reporting materials for limited partners. The role blends financial analysis, fund performance measurement, capital activity tracking, and investor communications support in a deadline-driven environment.
These roles often involve close collaboration with portfolio managers, fund accounting teams, investor relations professionals, compliance, and external administrators.
Prepare quarterly and annual LP reporting packages, including capital account statements, performance summaries, and portfolio updates
Calculate and review fund-level metrics such as IRR, MOIC, DPI, RVPI, TVPI, and other private markets performance measures
Track capital calls, distributions, commitments, and unfunded obligations
Reconcile fund data with administrators, custodians, and internal accounting systems
Support preparation of investor presentations, fundraising materials, and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs)
Assist with audit processes and coordinate delivery of financial statements to LPs
Maintain investor reporting databases and CRM systems
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all external communications
Respond to ad hoc LP inquiries regarding performance, portfolio composition, and capital activity
Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve data automation
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
Strong understanding of private equity, venture capital, private credit, or alternative investment fund structures
Knowledge of private markets performance metrics (IRR, TVPI, DPI, MOIC)
Familiarity with capital call and distribution mechanics
Advanced Excel skills; experience with reporting software, fund accounting systems, CRM tools, or Power BI/Tableau is a plus
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple deadlines across reporting cycles
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Interest in investor relations, fund operations, and alternative asset management
