TITLE: LPAC Clerk STATUS: Non-Exempt (At-Will)

PRIMARY FUNCTIONAssist LPAC liaisons with identification of Emergent Bilingual students and maintain LPAC documentation.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Certification:High school diploma or (GED)
Special Knowledge/Skills:Fluent English/Spanish speaking, listening, reading and writing abilitiesStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsSkill in utilizing electronic systems to locate and submit data/informationSkill in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writingSkill in utilizing electronic systems to locate and submit data/informationAbility to organize and prioritize work responsibilities.Ability to utilize basic office equipment, including fax, copier, scanner, computer, etcExperience:School clerical experience, preferred
EVALUATIONPerformance will be evaluated annually in accordance with provision of the Board's policy on evaluation ofpersonnel.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information according to the Family Education Rights to Privacy Act(FERPA).2. Work cooperatively with any various teams for dually identified emergent bilingual students.3. Assist the LPAC liaison with any LPAC related assignment (filing, coding, calling other schools, testing,organizing, etc.).4. Attend department and campus training as required by the district and LPAC committee.5. Keep informed of and comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies.6. Become familiar with LPAC and SPED terminology.7. Maintain confidentiality.8. Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.10. Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.11. Comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies for clerical employees.12. Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.13. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local boardpolicy.14. Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations.15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Multilingual Director,, Principal, and the Superintendent ofSchools.
WORK ENVIRONMENTMental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripheralsPosture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twistingMotion: Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reachingLifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 50 pounds)Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; understand theneed for continued flexibility based around the complex needs of students with behavioral needsEnvironment: Indoors including but not limited to: classroom, cafeteria, library, or other campus location.Outdoors (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather). Exposure to noise. May work prolonged orirregular hours. A remote location in the event of a declared emergency, temporary closure, or closure.Personal Protective Equipment may be required.
