Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) & Registered Nurses (RNs)

If you're an LPN or RN looking for a nursing role with purpose, stability, and the opportunity to make a real impact, WSi Healthcare wants to hear from you. We are building a dedicated pool of nursing professionals for upcoming opportunities in county jail settings throughout Arizona.

Whether you're an experienced correctional nurse or looking to transition into this rewarding specialty, correctional healthcare offers clinical variety, professional growth, and the opportunity to care for an underserved population in a structured, team-focused environment.

    Why Choose Correctional Nursing?

Correctional healthcare is one of the most rewarding specialties in nursing. Every shift presents new challenges and opportunities to utilize your full scope of practice while working alongside a supportive interdisciplinary team. Your skills directly impact patient outcomes, and your work truly makes a difference.

    What You'll Do

    • Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care in a secure county jail clinic
    • Perform nursing assessments and implement appropriate interventions
    • Conduct sick call, medication administration, and intake screenings
    • Monitor and care for patients with acute and chronic medical conditions
    • Respond to urgent and emergent medical situations (RN responsibilities)
    • Document all patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
    • Collaborate with custody staff, providers, and fellow healthcare professionals
    • Educate and support patients while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality

    RN Float Expectations

Registered Nurses must be willing to float between county jail clinic locations as operational needs require.

    • Follow county float procedures (clock out → travel → clock in at the next location)
    • Up to 15 minutes of float travel time is paid
    • Mileage or commute reimbursement is not provided per county policy

    What We Offer

    • Competitive pay based on experience (DOE)
    • Premium pay for evenings, nights, weekends, and select shifts
    • W2 employment with access to benefits (no 1099 positions)
    • Day, evening, night, and weekend shifts available
    • Per diem, part-time, and long-term opportunities as needs arise
    • Block scheduling opportunities when available
    • Consistent scheduling with a minimum commitment of 4 shifts every 28-day schedule cycle for PRN schedules
