Shift: Full-time shifts available: 7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am with rotating weekends

Pay: Based on experience

Sadie G. Mays Health & Rehabilitation Center seeks qualified and dedicated people to join our team. Sadie G. Mays Health & Rehabilitation Center is a 206-bed, skilled nursing facility located in northwest Atlanta. The facility is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation which operates under the auspices of the Atlanta Association for Convalescent Aged Persons, Inc. Our goal is to assist each resident to attain or maintain his or her highest level of mental, physical and psychosocial well-being, with compassion, dignity and respect.

Sadie G. Mays Health & Rehab is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our community. We have full-time and part-time openings with a rotating weekend requirement in a long-term care setting.

Position Summary

The LPN Charge Nurse provides direct nursing care to residents while supervising nursing activities during the assigned shift. This role requires strong clinical skills, leadership, and compassionate care for the elderly population.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medication accurately, monitor patient response, and document appropriately in medical records to ensure no negative outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients and authorized parties regarding the plan of care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Answer and refer telephone calls or other inquiries to ensure accurate and timely communication.
• Demonstrate understanding and compassion for human behavior and psychological development of the aged.
• Assign staff to patients and oversee nursing operational standards during the shift.

Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Georgia (required).
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider training (HCBLS/BLS) preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in long-term care settings preferred.
