PeaceHealth is seeking an LPN Clinic - Family Practice for a Full Time 1.00 FTE Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $26.70 - $40.06. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. Hiring Bonus and Relocation Bonus may be available.
Responsible for ensuring delivery of quality nursing care to clinic patients as directed by physicians and other healthcare providers. The Clinic LPN functions as a core member of the interdisciplinary care team and fulfills shares the roles and responsibilities of rooming nurse, resource nurse, and clinical support nurse in the ambulatory patient care setting.
Essential Functions:
• Assesses and implements patient care under supervision. • Prepares patient for examination. • Provides direct patient care. • Assists provider with examination and treatment of patient as directed. • Under the oversight of provider may be responsible for telephone triage using age-specific triage protocol books and computerized resources. • Documents patient care in health record according to department standards. • Obtains and conveys information to and from patients, pharmacies, and other providers as directed and supervised by a licensed provider. • May obtain referral authorizations for treatment as directed by provider. • Ensures own professional effectiveness through continued education and professional development. • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education Accredited State Board of Nursing LPN Program Required Experience Minimum of 1 year Preferred clinical experience as an LPN Credentials Required Upon Hire Licensed Practical Nurse - Oregon Required Upon Hire Basic Life Support Skills Basic computer skills required including familiarity with MS Office applications. Required Must have cooperative working and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of patients, families, and staff. Required Effective prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple clinical tasks at one time. Required Must be well organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to function independently. Required
Department Location Specific Notes Oregon LPNs working in the state of Oregon will ONLY perform triage components that align with applicable state regulations within the LPN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Working Conditions Lifting Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices NIOSH. Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures. Push/Pull Frequently up to 45 lbs. force, i.e. WOW medical carts. Perform hands on CPR at least 20 mins using 100-125 lbs. of force. National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA Frequency should be seldom or occasionally. Ability to move around area with frequent sitting. Bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, kneeling frequently. Lifting non-patient up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently. Environmental Conditions Exposure to biohazard body fluids and airborne particles. Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment. Mental/Visual Vision and hearing required within normal limits. Glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted. Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
