**Description** **PeaceHealth is seeking an LPN Clinic - Orthopedics for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $27.38 - $41.06.** The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. **Hiring Bonus may be available!** Responsible for ensuring delivery of quality nursing care to clinic patients as directed by physicians and other healthcare providers. The Clinic LPN functions as a core member of the interdisciplinary care team and fulfills/shares the roles and responsibilities of rooming nurse, resource nurse, and clinical support nurse in the ambulatory patient care setting. **Essential Functions** + Assesses and implements patient care under supervision. Prepares patient for examination. + Provides direct patient care. Assists provider with examination and treatment of patient as directed. + Under the oversight of provider, may be responsible for telephone triage using age specific triage protocol books and computerized resources. + Documents patient care in health record according to department standards. + Obtains and conveys information to and from patients, pharmacies, and other providers as directed and supervised by a licensed provider. May obtain referral authorizations for treatment as directed by provider. + Ensures own professional effectiveness through continued education and professional development. + Performs other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** **Education** + Accredited State Board of Nursing LPN Program Required: **Experience** + Minimum of 1 year Preferred: clinical experience as an LPN and + Required: Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs **Credentials** + Required: Upon Hire Licensed Practical Nurse - Washington + Required: Upon Hire Basic Life Support **Skills** + Basic computer skills required including familiarity with MS Office applications. (Required) + Must have cooperative working and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of patients, families and staff. (Required) + Effective prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple clinical tasks at one time. (Required) + Must be well organized, detail oriented, flexible and able to function independently. (Required) **Working Conditions** Lifting + Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH). + Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures. + Push/Pull: Frequently up to 45 lbs. force (i.e., WOW, medical carts). + Perform hands on CPR at least 20 mins using 100-125 lbs. of force (National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA) Frequency should be seldom or occasionally. + Ability to move around area with frequent sitting. + Bending/ stooping/ squatting/ reaching/ kneeling frequently. + Lifting (non-patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently. Environmental Conditions + Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles. + Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment. Mental/Visual + Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted). + Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
