Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced LPN to provide nursing care in an acute-care Emergency Department setting.

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State LPN License.
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience.
• Emergency Department experience required.
• IV insertion experience.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain/renew.
• Prior inpatient/acute-care experience preferred.
• EMR experience strongly preferred.
• Willingness to work every other weekend and some holidays.
• Ability to provide patient care with minimal orientation and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to ED patients under the direction of the primary or associate nurse.
• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy.
• Prepare patients and examination rooms for procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient progress.
• Assist physicians and healthcare providers with procedures.
• Administer injections and assist with clinical procedures as directed.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatments.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and charts.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized clinical areas.
• Assist with scheduling, reception, and other clinical duties as needed.
• Assist with insurance authorization and referral requests.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Follow facility, infection-control, safety, and patient-care protocols.
