Licensed Practical Nurse - Private Duty Caregiver for Special Needs Individual

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Language: Arabic (Mom understands some English)

Pay Rate: $38/hr

Are you a compassionate and dedicated caregiver seeking a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact in someone's life? We are currently looking for a private duty LPN skilled in working with clients who are diagnosed Quadriplegia, Cerebral Palsy and developmental delays. This role involves assisting with daily activities and providing support to ensure the well-being and comfort of the patient.

Shifts Available:

• Every day, except Wednesday & Saturday
• Time: 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM

Patient's Medical Conditions:

• Quadriplegic
• Cerebral Palsy
• Asthma
• Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
• Developmental Delays
• Scoliosis
• Non-Verbal
• Non-Ambulatory
• Incontinent Bowel/Bladder

Responsibilities:

• Provide total care and assistance to the patient in all activities of daily living.
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Administer medications as per the care plan and physician's instructions.
• Monitor the patient's health condition and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Provide companionship and engage in activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Monitor and manage asthma symptoms, ensuring proper medication administration and adherence.
• Support the patient's dietary needs and manage GERD symptoms as directed.
• Provide assistance with respiratory treatments and devices as required.
• Create a safe and comfortable environment for the patient at all times.
• Communicate effectively with the patient's family and healthcare team.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in caregiving, especially for individuals with complex medical needs.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to caregiving.
• Knowledge of Arabic language is a plus, as the patient's primary language is Arabic.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the patient's mother who understands some English.
• Understanding of the medical conditions listed above and their corresponding care requirements.
• Ability to provide physical assistance with transfers and mobility.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
