Job description: 

LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)


Part-time
is 24 hours weekly. 1/2 day Friday. (Two Positions Available)


We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care under the direction of registered nurses and physicians.


Responsibilities:


- Administer medications and assist with medication management
- Prepare patients for examinations by physicians and generate lab slips for physicians as needed. Clean, stock and maintain exam rooms as needed.


-Records patient care data including detailed history and medical records in EMR
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms
- Assist physician with procedures


-Resource for Medical Assistant and other nonclinical office staff for clinical questions.


-Work with medical assistant to treat and nurture patients in a safe and clean manner.


-maintain follow-up of medical data such as mammograms, pap smears, dexa scans and other vital clinical information as needed.


- create and maintain and follow-up to-do lists for clinical care
- Utilize knowledge of physiology and anatomy in patient care
- level of curiosity to continue learning and advancement of knowledge to stay current.
-other duties as assigned.


Experience:


- Valid LPN license in New York
- Proficient in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology
- Experience in medical-surgical settings
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care in a safe and calm manner
