    Job Overview

    The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a variety of professional nursing duties in compliance with the Skilled Nursing Facility regulations and follows established policies and procedures for our facility in Minneapolis, MN - Jones-Harrison

    Nurse schedule includes:

    • Casual hours. Minimum of 3 shifts per month
    • Flexible schedule
    • Day shift/Evening shift/Night shift

    Celebrating 135 years of service, Jones-Harrison Senior Living is conveniently located close to the metro bus stops off Cedar Lake Ave./Drew Ave. S. and Cedar Lake Ave./France Ave. S. in Minneapolis. The Jones-Harrison community offers Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care with a beautiful view of Cedar Lake and pristine grounds. This community features 53 Assisted living, 9 memory care apartments, 120 skilled and long term care beds.     • Provides skilled nursing care such as; implementing practitioners' orders, ordering and assisting with medications and supplies, operates medical equipment, and charting practices
    • Lifts and transfer residents as needed, Initiates emergency treatment as needed
    • Monitors work and performance of unlicensed staff
    • Updates RN with current observation and completes documentation of resident health status
    • Communicates changes in residents conditions to relevant individuals
    • May support RN by completing resident assessments, service agreements and care plans

    Required:

    • MN LPN licensure
    • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers (3 week grace period for BLS)
    • Able to work independently
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills

    Preferred:

    • Previous healthcare experience
    • Comfortable using computers, hand held devices, phones and fax machine
