NYC Health + Hospitals/McKinney is a 320-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility with a 5-Star CMS Quality Rating located in central Brooklyn. McKinney provides exceptional short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing services in a warm and comfortable setting. McKinney residents have 24-hour access to expert care and specialty services including Parkinson’s and Dementia Care, Hospice and Palliative care, IV therapy, wound and tracheostomy care.

Job Description:
  • Assists RN in admission procedure and participates in the planning, implementing and evaluation nursing care.
  • Sets priorities and delivers directs care to meet the needs of the assigned residents.
  • Provide medications, treatments and perform nursing procedures safely. Document per policy and procedure in resident’s medical record.
  • Participate in discharge regime and provide necessary teaching to resident and family on a regular basis.
  • Demonstrate safety awareness and follow protocol for fire, disaster, infection control and other environment of care practices.
  • Maintain competency and proficiency in nursing resident care standards. Attend all mandatory classes, and participate in the continuing education program and other appropriate learning experiences.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and other committees as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties.
  • Supervise Nursing Aides as directed and assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently licensed or otherwise duly authorized to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
