Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Long-Term Care (LTC) assignment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working a flexible afternoon and overnight schedule and providing safe, compassionate nursing care in a long-term care setting.
Assignment Details
Position: LPN – LTC
Schedule: 40–48 hours per week
Shift Length: 8-hour shifts
Shift Options:
2:45 PM – 10:45 PM
10:45 PM – 6:45 AM
Weekly schedule may include a combination of afternoon and overnight shifts.
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Requirements
Active Michigan LPN license required.
Previous long-term care experience preferred.
Ability to work both afternoon and night shifts.
Availability for 40–48 hours per week.
Ability to follow patient-care, safety, and infection-control standards.
Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe and effective nursing care according to established policies and standards.
Assess residents and monitor changes in patient condition.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
Accurately document patient care and clinical observations.
Communicate changes in resident status to the appropriate healthcare team.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Assist with ongoing care planning and patient needs.
Maintain compliance with infection-control and patient-safety protocols.
Provide compassionate and professional care to residents in a long-term care environment.
