Job Title: LPN / LVN - Emergency Room
Location: Syracuse, NY
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks (With Highly Possibility of Extension or permanent placement)
Shift: Night Shifts Available
Schedule: 3 days/week | 36 hours/week | Every other weekend as requested
Local Candidates Required: Accepted
Traveler Candidates Required: Accepted

Pay Rate: $38.00 - $43.00 Per Hour

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State LPN/LVN License required; no license hits allowed.
• Proof of active license required at time of submission.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of LTC/Skilled Nursing experience required.
• Experience with Alzheimer's and dementia patient populations preferred.
• Must pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation.
• Strong attendance, punctuality, and dependability required.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Must be flexible with scheduling and able to work every other weekend when requested.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform accurate and safe medication passes.
• Provide nursing care to residents in a long-term care/skilled nursing setting.
• Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Supervise CNAs on assigned units.
• Provide care to residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other long-term care needs.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, CNAs, nurses, and other members of the care team.
• Maintain a professional, organized, and compassionate approach in a fast-paced environment.
