Senior Helpers of Melbourne is looking for a caring and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our growing clinical team. This position is perfect for an LPN who enjoys working one-on-one with seniors, providing hands-on nursing care, and helping clients remain safe and independent in the comfort of their homes.

You'll work alongside our Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care while enjoying a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing services within the LPN scope of practice under the supervision of the Registered Nurse
• Perform routine nursing visits and client assessments
• Monitor client conditions and promptly report changes to the RN and physician
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Reinforce education provided by the Registered Nurse
• Assist with implementing and updating individualized care plans
• Document all visits accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, caregivers, clients, and family members
• Ensure compliance with agency policies, state regulations, and home health standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings

Qualifications

• Active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred
• Home Health, Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, or Geriatric experience preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and able to work independently
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
• Current CPR certification
