Overview

Responsibilities

Promotes and maintains the health of designated patients by implementing and assisting in coordination of quality patient care under the direction of an RN or physician.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• At Mobile Infirmary Medical Center (MIMC) graduate of an LPN program
• At Thomas Hospital (TH), North Baldwin Infirmary (NBI), and Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) participation in a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program, with successful passage of the NCLEX PN examination

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• One of the following:

• Current Alabama LPN license

• Current Multi State LPN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*

• Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

• BLS

Desired Qualifications:

• Associate Degree

• Advanced certifications such as IV

• Working knowledge of area
