NOW HIRING: Temporary School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Manhattan, NY
Pay:$43–$45/hour
Temporary Assignment:August 24, 2026 –November 20, 2026(89-day 1199 Union Contract)

Are you a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who enjoys working with children and adolescents? We are seeking a dedicated School-Based Health LPN to support students in a New York City school setting.

Position Details:

Start Date:August 24, 2026(Immediate interviews & expedited onboarding required)

August 24 –September 7
Manhattan, NY(Training/Home Base)
Monday–Friday | 8: 30 AM –4: 30 PM
1-hour unpaid lunch

Beginning September 8
School-Based Health Center –Manhattan, NY
Serving students in grades 6–12 (approximately 400 students)
Monday–Friday | 8: 00 AM –3: 30 PM
30-minute unpaid lunch

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care to students in a school-based health setting
Assess and manage student health concerns, illnesses, and minor injuries
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Perform health screenings and maintain accurate medical documentation
Collaborate with families, providers, and school staff regarding student health needs
Promote wellness, preventive care, and health education
Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

Active New York State LPN License
Previous school-based nursing experience preferred or strong pediatric nursing experience
Excellent communication and assessment skills
Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
