Responsible for coordinating the organization’s respiratory protection and fit testing program to support employee safety and regulatory compliance with OSHA standards. Supports the organization in fulfilling the mission, vision, and values of Logan Health.

Qualifications:

  • Current Montana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working within healthcare or coordination role required.

  • Familiarity with respirator mask fitting and OSHA standards preferred.

  • Promotes excellence through setting high standards and providing high quality outcomes.

  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Conducts qualitative and quantitative respirator mask fit testing in accordance with OSHA respiratory protection standards.

  • Provides education and training to employees regarding respirator use, fit testing procedures, and respiratory protection requirements.

  • Trains designated staff members to perform respirator fit testing procedures and related program activities.

  • Provides powered air purifying respirator (PAPR) education and training, including proper use and maintenance procedures.

  • Schedules employee fit testing appointments and coordinates testing activities.

  • Maintains accurate records of completed fit tests, employee participation, and training documentation.

  • Enters and maintains program data within electronic databases, spreadsheets, and tracking systems.

  • Performs monthly compliance tracking and reporting to ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitors and identifies employees who are overdue or non-compliant with respiratory protection requirements.

  • Ensures respiratory protection activities comply with OSHA regulations, organizational policies, and infection prevention standards.

  • Collaborates closely with department leadership, employee health, infection prevention, safety, compliance, and human resources regarding program operations and initiatives.

  • Travels to organizational sites to conduct fit testing and training as needed.
