The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) plays a critical role in supporting clinical operations within a primary care setting. Working under direct supervision and reporting to the Clinical Supervisor, the CMA ensures efficient patient intake, accurate measurement of vital signs, and assists during medical procedures. This role also involves managing medication administration, maintaining thorough electronic health record documentation, and preparing patients and rooms for care, all during regular day shifts without travel requirements.
Responsibilities
Conduct patient intake and record vital signs accurately
Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures
Administer medications as directed
Document patient data in electronic health records (EHR)
Provide patient education and support
Manage scheduling and room preparation for patient visits
Maintain infection control standards
Handle pre-certifications and related administrative tasks
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years experience in medical assisting
High school diploma or equivalent
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
Knowledge of patient care practices preferred in pediatrics/geriatrics.
Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Familiarity with medical terminology and vital signs measurement
Skill in injections administration
Knowledge of vaccines
Understanding of HIPAA compliance
Strong communication and attention to detail
