Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:15 PM

ORTHOPEDIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a busy outpatient Orthopedics practice. Candidates MUST have prior orthopedic experience and be comfortable supporting physicians with hands-on orthopedic patient care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations
• Obtain vital signs and patient information
• Perform venipuncture and EKGs as needed
• Obtain PCR nasal swabs for pre-surgical patients
• Prepare specimens for the laboratory and coordinate courier hand-off
• Assist physicians with treatments and procedures
• Perform cast removal
• Perform suture and staple removal
• Apply off-the-shelf orthopedic braces
• Ensure physician orders are completed promptly
• Work collaboratively with Registration, Radiology, Physician Practice Management, Physical Therapy, and other clinical teams
• Maintain efficient patient flow and provide excellent patient service

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• Current New York State LPN license and registration
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• ORTHOPEDIC EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
• Experience with cast removal, suture/staple removal, and orthopedic bracing
