Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Registered Nurse (RN) – 12-Hour Overnight Shift

Lions Gate CCRC – Rehabilitation Unit

Schedule: Day Shift and Overnight Shift Available!

Position Summary

Lions Gate CCRC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Rehabilitation team on an every-other-weekend overnight schedule. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care while promoting the comfort, dignity, and well-being of our residents. Working collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members, you will assess residents, administer medications and treatments, respond to changes in condition, and ensure exceptional clinical care throughout your shift.

This position is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment and is passionate about delivering person-centered care.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in accordance with physician orders, individualized care plans, and established nursing standards.
  • Assess residents, monitor for changes in condition, and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies (within scope of practice) while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Safely prepare, administer, and document controlled substances and other medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in resident status.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and required clinical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members regarding care plans and resident needs.
  • Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) as appropriate.
  • Participate in shift reports, staff meetings, required education, and ongoing training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support quality resident care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) or Registered Nursing (RN) program.
  • Current, active, and unrestricted New Jersey LPN or RN license.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience preferred; experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, long-term care, or assisted living is highly desirable.
  • Current BLS (CPR) certification required (First Aid and AED certification preferred).
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Comfortable using electronic medical records and other computer-based systems.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist residents throughout a 12-hour shift.
  • Ability to work the required overnight schedule and every other weekend.
