LPN Staff Nurse

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Staff Nurse administers skilled nursing care to patients requiring nursing services in accordance with physicians orders and under the direction of supervision of the Case Manager. Provides nursing care, teaches and supervises the family and other team members to provide continuity of care and to implement comprehensive care.

Some responsibilities are listed below...

• Observe patients for any changes to their conditions / reactions to treatment and report the information to the attending physician and Registered Nurse (RN)
• Re-evaluate the patients' continuing care and safety
• When necessary, initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures appropriate for patients' care and safety
• Teaches, supervises, and counsels patients and their family members regarding patients' needs
• Administrative duties, such as completing all documentation in a timely manner
• Report daily to the Case Manager or Clinical Supervisor on services rendered, issues, and potential solutions
