Assist in evaluating and coordinating medical services to prevent inappropriate or duplicate care.
Maintain strict confidentiality and security of medical records.
Observe and document inmate/resident behavior and medical conditions.
Inspect medical areas for contraband and ensure proper storage or disposal of supplies and equipment.
Prepare and maintain medical records, reports, logs, and documentation.
Interpret medical procedures, regulations, legal documents, and medical instructions.
Review medical charts and assist with legal cases, hearings, and required interventions.
Communicate effectively with staff, inmates/residents, visitors, and the public.
Assist with safety, emergency, accident, and incident reporting.
Coordinate inmate/resident movement to and from medical treatment areas.
Support NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO accreditation and medical program compliance.
Assist with investigations and inquiries as directed.
Work rotating shifts and perform security checks in a correctional environment.
Handle challenging and potentially hostile situations with professionalism and sound judgment.
Minimum Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted TN license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Minimum of one (1) year/s of recent experience as an LPN in a Skilled Nursing facility
A degree from an accredited school of Nursing
BLS through American Heart Association or equivalent
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
