LTS Physical Education/Health Teacher (26/27 SY)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will:

• Plan and implement the physical education & health curriculum for grades 9-12
• Evaluate individual students using department-developed common assessment tools, maintain up-to-date records of student progress
• Collaborate with members of the PreK-12 Physical Education & Health department to review, develop and execute a rigorous district curriculum aligned to state standards
• Create a positive, inviting, and safe learning environment while modeling enthusiasm for learning
• Develop, model, and practice class procedures and routines
• Modify instructional practices to meet individual student needs
• Communicate high expectations to all learners, as well as realistic and consistent expectations for student behavior and applies appropriate consequences
• Other duties as assigned by building administrators
