Automotive Lube Technician

The lube technician is essential to the dealership's service team. This position performs routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and basic inspections. This position helps ensure vehicles are serviced efficiently and safely, contributing to overall customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety standards.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00

Shift: 2:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform basic maintenance services such as:
    • Oil and filter changes
    • Tire rotations
    • Fluid top-offs and inspections
  • Inspect and report on belts, hoses, filters, and tire tread conditions
  • Replace minor parts (air filters, light bulbs, wiper blades, etc.)
  • Operate lifts and hoists safely to access vehicle undercarriages
  • Check and maintain proper fluid levels (oil, coolant, brake, transmission, windshield washer, etc.)
  • Accurately document work performed in the dealership’s system
  • Communicate additional service needs or safety concerns to the service advisor or supervisor
  • Properly dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with regulations
  • Uphold dealership standards for safety, quality, and customer service

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Automotive maintenance experience preferred (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
  • Completion of a vocational or technical program in automotive repair is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
