    Lube Technicians are responsible for performing oil changes and preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment both at our branch yard and on job sites. Your primary duties will include troubleshooting mechanical issues, determining appropriate solutions, and providing exceptional service and customer support during routine maintenance activities.

    Essential Functions

    • Perform oil changes and preventive maintenance on equipment at the branch yard and various job sites.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine the most effective solutions.
    • Provide high quality service and support during routine maintenance operations.
    • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with company standards and safety protocols to maintain accurate records of services performed.
    • Utilizing company-provided systems and tools to efficiently document and manage work orders and sourcing parts/supplies for repairs/maintenance.

    Required Education and Experience

    • Experience as a construction equipment lube technician or similar role is preferred.
    • Must have own tools.
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
    • Proficiency in basic computer tasks, including work order management, parts lookup, and email communication.
    • Ability to work independently and efficiently in both shop and field environments.
    • Strong communication skills and dedication to customer service.
    • Adaptability for schedule adjustments and flexible hours based on operational needs.

    Military service will be considered in lieu of education/certification experience as applicable.

    Work Environment

    • Work is primarily conducted in construction sites, equipment yards, and transportation routes.
    • Regular exposure to heavy machinery and diesel-powered equipment in operation.
    • Frequent outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
    • Physically demanding environment with uneven terrain, dust, mud, and loud noise levels.
    • Duties may involve both shop-based tasks and fieldwork, including travel to remote job sites.
    • Strict adherence to safety protocols is required at all times.
    • Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection must be worn as needed.
    • Must be comfortable operating around large equipment, performing tasks in confined spaces, or working from elevated positions.
    • Lifting heavy components and materials is often required.
    • Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as job site conditions and priorities can change rapidly.

    Travel Required

    • Position may require several hours of driving daily to job sites.

    Physical Demands

    • Requires a high level of physical stamina and mobility to perform duties in jobsite and yard environments.
    • Frequent lifting, carrying, and maneuvering of tools, chains, tarps, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds or more, often without assistance.
    • Regular bending, squatting, kneeling, crouching, and reaching to secure loads, inspect vehicles, or perform minor maintenance tasks.
    • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and working on foot, often on uneven terrain such as gravel, dirt, or pavement.
    • Climbing in and out of trucks, onto trailers, or occasionally onto equipment is required.
    • Must be able to work from various heights and maintain balance while performing tasks on steps, ladders, or platforms.
    • Fine motor skills and good manual dexterity needed for handling controls, securing tie-downs, and completing documentation.
    • Must be able to safely operate commercial vehicles and remain alert in potentially hazardous driving and yard conditions.
