Location: Richmond, Virginia - Multiple Locations Across the Richmond Area

Compensation: Orientation - $110/hr, Hourly - $110/hr, Holiday - $165/hr.

Schedule

Clinics Open 7 Days Per Week

Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM-8:00 PM

Approximately 3 Shifts Per Week Per Provider

12+ Hour Shifts Depending on Patient Flow

Providers Are Expected to See Patients Who Arrive During Clinic Hours

Approximately 9 Total Shifts Per Week Across 3 Providers

No Call

Patient Population / Volume

All Ages - Birth Through Geriatrics

100% Outpatient

Approximately 25-50 Patients Per Day Depending on Location and Patient Volume

Higher Patient Volumes Expected During Cold and Flu Season

Higher-Acuity Patients Requiring Additional Care Are Transferred to the Emergency Department or Appropriate Higher Level of Care

Clinical Responsibilities

Provide Comprehensive Urgent Care Services Across Multiple Clinic Locations

Evaluate and Treat Acute Illnesses and Minor Injuries

Perform Minor Office-Based Procedures

Provide Initial Emergency Stabilization When Needed

Interpret Point-of-Care Testing and Diagnostic Studies

Determine When Patients Require Transfer to a Higher Level of Care

Required Procedures / Skills

Simple, Intermediate, and Complex Laceration Repair With Suturing or Stapling

Incision and Drainage Including Packing

Foreign Body Removal

Minor Burn Management

Skin Lesion Care

Orthopedic and Injury Stabilization

Splinting and Casting

Joint Reduction

X-Ray Interpretation

EKG Evaluation

Point-of-Care Lab Interpretation

Rapid Strep, Flu, COVID-19, RSV, Urinalysis, and Blood Glucose Testing

Epistaxis Management Including Anterior Nasal Packing or Chemical Cautery

Cerumen Impaction Removal

Nebulizer Treatments

Initial Emergency Airway Support and Stabilization

Requirements

Board Certified - Required

Active Virginia License - Required

BLS - Required

DEA Registration - Required

Minimum of 1 Year of Experience in an Emergency Department, Primary Care, or Urgent Care Setting - Required

Clean Professional Background With No Malpractice or License Issues - Required

Submission Requirements

Previous Work History With the Health System Must Be Disclosed at Time of Name Clearance

If Previously Employed or Assigned Within the Health System, Include Facility, Last Date Worked, and Agency
