This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

You will plan, coordinate, and execute complex hardware development programs for Blue Moon lander systems. This includes managing schedules, tracking program plans, and ensuring development, qualification, and production hardware meets strict delivery deadlines. You'll coordinate multifunctional teams across Blue Origin's national facilities to manage hardware build prioritization and execution.

Using your technical background, you'll communicate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams. You'll present status updates, risks, opportunities, and recovery plans to engineering and program leadership. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, execution with urgency, and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement program operations and engineering strategies to meet performance and production objectives
Drive strategy execution by assigning projects and tasks, tracking budgets, and coordinating with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain
Lead project execution including risk management, status tracking, reporting, and resolution of blocking issues
Coordinate hardware build demand, prioritization, and scheduling across multifunctional teams nationwide
Create data-driven insights and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboards to support executive decision-making
Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and program status reports

Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. or B.A. in Engineering or related technical field
5+ years of professional experience in program or project management, preferably with aerospace hardware or complex technical systems
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6 scheduling software
Experience with configuration management principles and practices
Proven ability to use data analytics tools and generate meaningful KPIs
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership
Demonstrated success building cross-functional relationships and driving results through influence
High attention to detail with strong organizational and coordination skills
Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and maintain project momentum under pressure
Passion for Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space

Preferred Qualifications:

Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience with launch vehicle or spacecraft development, production, and operations
M.B.A. or M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
Experience with Integrated Master Plan/Schedule (IMP/IMS), critical path scheduling, and Earned Value Management (EVM)
Hands-on experience with Primavera P6, CREO, and Windchill
Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Tableau
Experience managing projects across full product lifecycle (concept through operations)
Background in requirements management and risk management methodologies
Strong business acumen with experience in corporate finance or cost account management
Experience managing large, geographically distributed programs with multiple stakeholders

Compensation Range for:
CO applicants is $133,500.00 - $186,898.95
WA applicants is $145,188.00 - $203,263.20
