About the Role:
San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville, FL is looking for a talented and passionate Lunch Line Cook to join our culinary team! Responsibilities:

• Prepare and execute lunch menu items with speed, consistency, and attention to detail
• Maintain assigned station including prep, cooking, and breakdown after service
• Follow standardized recipes and plating presentations to ensure quality standards
• Coordinate with kitchen team during high-volume lunch service for smooth execution
• Monitor food freshness, rotation, and proper storage following FIFO procedures
• Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and health code standards at all times
• Assist with prep work, mise en place, and restocking station before and after service

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar kitchen role preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a consistent lunch shift schedule
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
• ServSafe certification or equivalent food handler certification a plus
