Position: Tile, Stone & Wood Flooring Sales Designer: Luxury Residential | Trade & Design Focused

We work alongside leading interior designers, architects, builders, and discerning homeowners to source and curate exceptional materials for sophisticated residential projects.We are seeking an experienced, design-driven Tile, Stone & Wood Flooring Sales Designer to join our Vero Beach showroom.This is a highly collaborative, trade-focused position for a polished design professional who understands the expectations and pace of the luxury residential design and construction industry. The ideal candidate is comfortable working alongside designers and architects, interpreting their vision, sourcing the right materials, and providing the detailed product and project support needed to bring that vision to life. You should have a sophisticated design eye, strong knowledge of tile, stone, and wood flooring, and the ability to confidently support multiple high-end projects from initial concept and specification through ordering and delivery.
What You'll Do
- Partner closely with interior designers, architects, builders, and other trade professionals on luxury residential projects
- Serve as a knowledgeable showroom and product resource for luxury tile, natural stone, mosaics, glass, ceramics, wood flooring, and specialty surfaces
- Assist with the selection and specification of wide-plank wood flooring, European oak, specialty finishes, patterns, plank widths, grades, and coordinating transitions
- Interpret architectural plans, design concepts, finish schedules, inspiration images, and material palettes to identify appropriate products and solutions
- Curate sophisticated combinations of tile, stone, wood, color, texture, pattern, and finish while respecting the designer's overall vision, performance requirements, and project budget
- Source specialty and custom materials through our extensive network of premium manufacturers and artisans
- Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, sales orders, and purchase orders with a high level of accuracy
- Coordinate samples, control samples, product availability, lead times, pricing, quantities, specifications, and other project details
- Follow projects from initial selection and specification through procurement and final delivery
- Anticipate project needs and proactively communicate with designers, architects, builders, vendors, and internal team members
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships within the architecture, interior design, and luxury construction community
- Maintain current knowledge of luxury materials, wood flooring, emerging design trends, installation considerations, and new product introductions
- Contribute to an elevated, highly curated showroom experience that serves as a trusted resource for the design trade
Who We're Looking For
- We are looking for someone who is design savvy, polished, highly organized, and comfortable working with sophisticated trade professionals and luxury clientele.
- You understand that supporting a designer or architect means more than simply selling a product. It requires listening carefully, understanding the design intent, knowing the materials, researching and sourcing solutions, managing details, meeting deadlines, and making the specification and procurement process as seamless as possible.
- You are equally comfortable discussing a custom stone mosaic, handcrafted tile, or marble selection as you are a wide-plank European oak floor, chevron pattern, finish, or coordinating material palette.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in interior design, luxury tile and stone, wood flooring, architectural surfaces, or a related design-focused field
- Experience working directly with interior designers, architects, builders, and high-end residential clients
- Strong design sensibility with an exceptional eye for color, scale, texture, pattern, proportion, and finish
- Working knowledge of luxury tile, natural stone, marble, mosaics, glass, ceramics, and wood flooring
- Knowledge of wood flooring specifications, including species, grades, finishes, plank widths, patterns, and installation considerations, is strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, specifications, and finish schedules
- Strong understanding of the level of service, discretion, communication, and attention to detail expected within the luxury design industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project-management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple active projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Confident relationship-building and sales skills without a high-pressure sales approach
- Ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership of projects and client relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning business and design software; We use NetSuite and will train
