This opportunity will be supporting our team onsite at Fort Benning.

Job Summary:

The Vendor Visibility Manager (VVM) acts as the on-site representative for our third-party logistics (3PL) company, serving as a critical link between the contractor and the U.S. Army at various Recruit Training Centers (RTCs). This role is designed to ensure total visibility and maximum support for all inventory and supply chain operations. The VVM is a proactive, "boots on the ground" professional responsible for managing and resolving logistics issues, tracking shipments, and ensuring the seamless flow of goods to meet the needs of the Army.

Military Base Access Requirement:This position requires regular entry to a U.S. Army installation. Employment is strictly contingent upon the candidate’s ability to successfully pass a Department of Defense (DoD) background check and obtain, as well as maintain, unescorted base access privileges throughout the duration of their employment.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory and Supply Chain Management

  • Maintain complete visibility of inventory levels at both the assigned RTC and the main A3PL warehouse.
  • Proactively identify and report supply chain shortfalls by National Stock Number (NSN), including current stock on hand and due-in quantities.
  • Collaborate with RTC management and the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support Customer Account Specialist (CAS) to resolve inventory shortages.
  • Assist with inventory control by ensuring emergency stock is routed correctly and conducting monthly cycle counts on 20 NSNs.

Shipment and Logistics Coordination

  • Help resolve shipment discrepancies on orders originating from the 3PL warehouse.
  • Coordinate with RTC managers to obtain and track additional shipments for short-shipped orders until they are received.
  • Work with the 3PL contractor to consolidate and expedite shipments to the RTCs, including requesting overnight delivery when necessary.
  • Coordinate and arrange shipments with other VVM’s and local RTC manager for cross leveling items need at other RTC’s

Reporting and Communication

  • Serve as the primary on-site lead for DLA Troop Support.
  • Coordinate the return of deficient or damaged stock to the contractor's warehouse for proper disposition.
  • Review weekly reports from DLA Troop Support to monitor supply chain performance, including due-in reports, zero-balance NSN reports, and recruit fill rates.
  • Upload Shipment discrepancy, Shipment Accuracy and Cycle Count report on LVI share drive monthly

Candidate Requirements:

  • Physical Requirements: Capable of performing physical labor, including lifting boxes and conducting manual item counts.
  • Work Schedule: This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position. The VVM’s hours must mirror the core operating hours of the assigned RTC, which may require flexibility. Compressed work schedules are not authorized.
  • Telework: Telework is only authorized for unforeseen circumstances like inclement weather closures at the RTC, and only to maintain communication with team members and government personnel at no cost to the government.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Provides inbound/outbound support through effective teamwork and cooperation.
  • Other duties as needed.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience is preferred
  • Experience with GSA or DOD Warehouse Management Systems and High Jump software is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
