Position Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) plays a vital role in delivering quality resident care while supervising the daily nursing activities of assigned staff. Working under the direction of the Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing, the LVN helps ensure the highest standards of clinical care are maintained in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day nursing activities and direct care staff.
  • Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care.
  • Monitor and assess resident conditions, reporting changes as appropriate.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Ensure resident care is delivered according to individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Promote compliance with all facility policies and regulatory standards.
  • Support a safe, respectful, and caring environment for residents, families, and staff.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to achieve optimal resident outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program or approved Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) program.
  • Current, active, and unencumbered LVN license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, long-term care community, or related healthcare setting.
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively supervise and lead nursing staff.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional care and service to residents.
